Montessori Inspired
Although I am not Montessori trained from what I have read there are aspects of the approach I already do and hope to learn more about the approach through further reading.
Here is some examples of how I plan to use the approach in the setting:
Practical Life
Children take part in practical life activities such as serving their own snack and pouring their own drinks and are equipped with brooms, brushes and dustpans and are expected to tidy up their activities to help me look after their play environment as well as make their own playdough and clean up afterwards.
I also have a couple of Montessori resources and plan to add to the collection as and when I feel the children can benefit from them.
