Home Learning
Studies have shown that parental encouragement and expectations have the strongest relationship with educational achievement. So I am keen to encourage and support parents in this role and I believe when we work closely together this benefits the child.
The majority of home learning is their self directed play as well as activities and celebrations they do with their families that can include visits from family members and learning their home language.
Please feel free to add to Tapestry any photos and a simple explanation of what is happening in it or just a story about something your child has done that you want to share and I will print and add this to your child’s folder so they can revisit and share these experiences with me and their friends at Bunnies and Butterflies as well as yourselves. This will enrich their learning.
I might highlight something in their play that they may want to continue at home. I might give activity ideas you might like to try or suggest resources that might interest your child. It would be lovely to see a contribution in tapestry about how you used these ideas. It all adds to their learning journey.
